This is a pamphlet entitled, "Panama Canal Pictures". It was produced in 1914 (prior to the completion of the Canal), andn consists of a brief history of the building of the canal, with about 60+ photographs and illustrations.

The Panama Canal was a popular tourist attraction long before it was
completed, and this was the short of pamphlet a tourist would use to
guide them in thier tour.

It's fun to ready, and informative, though it is obviously lacking in detail because of it's size.

To quote the author:

"This little book, however, aims only to give some of the latest
pictures showing the progress of the work, and to give them in such orderly form that the reader may feel he or she has made a personal trip, even if a very rapid one, across the Isthmus."
