Panama Canal Pictures

This publication is a digital version of a pamphlet that was published in 1914. The pamphlet, entitled, PANAMA CANAL PICTURES, was small, measuring 6 ¾ x 5 inches. It is the sort of item a tourist would purchase and use as a guide when visiting the the Panama Canal. The Canal was a popular tourist destination even before it’s completion in 1914.

The pamphlet consists of 63 pages, total, most of which are photographs. There is one map of the Canal Zone.

To quote the author: This little book aims to give some of the latest pictures showing the then progress of the work, and to give them in such orderly form that the reader may feel he or she has made a personal trip, even if a very rapid one, across the Isthmus.
